Inclusive Movement

Movement for all.

Designed to support active movement in a welcoming, inclusive community, our Inclusive Movement program creates a positive fitness experience for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This program is built to help participants develop strength, confidence and overall well-being in a space where they feel truly welcomed, supported and valued.

Inclusive Movement focuses on functional fitness, guided movement and encouragement every step of the way. Whether the goal is improving endurance, increasing balance and coordination, or simply feeling more comfortable in a gym setting, our team is here to help each participant progress at their own pace. Participants are surrounded by supportive staff who celebrate effort, growth and personal wins.

All abilities and experience levels are welcome.

Our program is open to participants of all experience levels, including those who are brand new to exercise as well as those who already enjoy staying active. All sessions are designed with safety, comfort and adaptability in mind.

A fitness assessment with one of our Inclusive Movement Trainers is required prior to joining the program. Contact Inclusive Movement Program Coordinator Kate Dougherty at 847.802.7027 to learn more.

We’re proud that our Inclusive Movement program has been recognized by the Medical Fitness Association (MFA) with a Program Innovation Award. This honor highlights our ongoing commitment to helping every member thrive through inclusive, evidence-based programming.

We look forward to helping you or your loved one build healthy habits, connect with others and experience the benefits of movement in a fun, inclusive setting.
