Your Safety Is Our Priority

For the health and well-being of our members, we are taking a calculated and phased approach to reopening Northwestern Medicine Crystal Lake Health & Fitness Center and Northwestern Medicine Huntley Health & Fitness Center, keeping your safety top of mind. As members of the Medical Fitness Association, we already adhere to safety and cleanliness protocols that exceed industry standards.  Below is an outline of the other steps we are taking for the safety of our members and community.

Safety Protocols

• The facility will be open only to members. The children’s areas are closed.
• Temperature checks will be made for every member and employee upon entry to the center.
• Members are required to wear face coverings over their nose and mouth at all times while in the facility and while exercising
• Extra hand sanitizer stations will be in place throughout the center.
• All purchases will require a credit card or on-account charge. We will no longer accept cash.
  

Cleaning Protocols

• We will follow Centers for Disease Control and Prevention guidelines for cleaning.
• Cleaning crews will adhere to a continuous disinfection schedule.
• We will have an enhanced after-hours cleaning and disinfecting process.
• Extra sanitizer wipes will be available for member cleaning of equipment before and after every use.

Physical Distancing

• Capacity restrictions will be in place based on state and local government guidelines.
• Equipment limitations will encourage physical distancing.
• Extra signs and space markings throughout the facility will reinforce physical distancing guidelines.
• Group exercise classes and massage have been suspended until further notice
• Locker rooms limited to general bathroom use, clothing storage and rinsing before and after pool use
